Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in California requiring a CA RN license, night shift availability, and recent emergency nursing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Emergency Department (ED) of a hospital setting
  • Patient population includes urgent and emergent care cases across all ages
  • Night shift schedule : 3x12 hours, 7 : 00 pm - 7 : 30 am
  • Required to work at least every other weekend
  • Use of Epic EMR; Epic experience preferred
  • No guaranteed block or grouped shifts
  • Responsibilities include providing emergency care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment
  • Expect to complete orientation modules through e-learning, with average module time between 1-5 hours
  • Only one holiday will be approved for requested time off during the contract period
  • Returning travelers must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
  • Local candidates are accepted at a local rate
  • Background policy requires disclosure of any issues prior to consideration

    • Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required at the time of consideration
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA or American Red Cross required
  • Minimum of 2 years recent ER nursing experience required
  • Must be able to provide 2 supervisor references from within the past year
  • Must be available to complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay
