We are seeking a compassionate and committed Special Education Teacher for a school in New Haven County, CT.

This is a part-time, one-month opportunity to support 5th and 6th grade students in a blended classroom setting, with a primary focus on pull-out instruction. You’ll play a vital role in delivering individualized education to a caseload of approximately 14–16 students, fostering both academic and emotional growth.

Position Details :

• Location : New Haven County, CT
• Specialty : Special Education Teacher
• Length of Assignment : 1 Month
• Hours Per Week : 20–25 (part time)
• Schedule : Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
• Grade Levels : 5th–6th
• Caseload : Approximately 14–16 students
• Classroom Type : Blended, with a primary focus on pull-out support

Responsibilities :

Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), modify curriculum, and track student progress.

Provide individualized instruction to cultivate academic, social, and emotional growth while managing student behavior and fostering inclusion.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field.

Special Education Teaching Certification in the state of CT – either Initial, Provisional, or Professional teaching certification.
