Overview : Responsible for and assists with all communication duties essential for the protection of patients, public, staff and hospital property. Train new personnel in the functions of a communications technician. In-service employees on procedural changes. Answers phones, monitors both internal and external alarm systems, monitor video surveillance systems and dispatches officers as required. Communicates with public safety officials from law enforcement, fire and EMS as needed and provides necessary information to aid in safety and protection of patients, public, staff and hospital property. Process identification badges and completes data entry into the Security Services productivity monitoring system. Reports to Communication / Security site Supervisor.
