• Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests-including chemistry, hematology, and immunology-following established protocols to ensure accuracy.
• Oversee the interpretation of results, troubleshoot discrepancies, and execute preventative maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
• Assist in the collection of specimens and prepare samples for testing as necessary.
• Thoroughly document all procedures, mentor new staff or students, and maintain laboratory quality standards.
• Ensure a pristine and secure work area while adhering to all regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a related allied health degree along with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within one year of hire.
• Maintain certification throughout employment tenure.
