Security Officer - Unarmed Government Patrol

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Government Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional assigned to a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide excellent customer service and communication. Pay Rate : $21.63 / Hour

Location : Los Angeles County, California

Must have 1 year security experience within the last 3 years.

Must have a clean background.

Must have a high school diploma or GED or official transcripts.

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites.
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education.
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams.
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service.
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to site procedures.
  • Support access control protocols and verify identification as required by site policies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities and / or incidents encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and site personnel to address concerns and relay important information.
  • Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by Allied Universal and site management during daily operations.

  • Availability across various days and shifts.
  • Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
  • A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company.
  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • CPR, baton, handcuffing, and pepper spray certifications are preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
