Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Special Education Teacher Contract Position
Location: Cary, NC (with opportunities in Oxford, NC and Butner, NC)

An exciting contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support high school students. This role focuses on providing specialized educational services tailored to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for high school students
• Adapt instructional materials and methods to meet diverse learning needs
• Manage caseload effectively, providing consistent support and progress monitoring
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to promote inclusive learning environments
• Monitor and address behavioral challenges, utilizing behavior management strategies (behavior experience preferred)
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal special education regulations
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

• Valid North Carolina Special Education License required
• Experience working with high school-aged students in special education settings
• Behavior management experience preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Work Schedule:

• Full-time, Monday through Friday
