Shift : Days, 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM
Hours per Week : 36 (3x12 hour shifts)
Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week
Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2000-$2050
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN or Surgical Unit nursing experience
Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Strong clinical skills in perioperative and post-operative care
OR RN Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients in the Operating Room and Surgical Unit
Implement evidence-based procedures and best practices for perioperative nursing
Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of patient care and surgical interventions
Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
Modify care plans based on ongoing patient evaluation and clinical judgment
Provide expert post-operative care, including wound and ostomy management
Monitor and manage patients with new tracheostomies and complex wounds (including wound vacs)
Educate patients and families on ostomy care and post-surgical recovery
Collaborate with surgical teams, including OMFS residency services, to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Promote patient and staff safety by identifying and addressing safety hazards
Communicate effectively with healthcare colleagues and provide constructive feedback
Engage in ongoing professional development and identify personal learning needs
