Job Title : MRI Technologist
Location - Scranton, Pennsylvania
Shift : Evening, 8-Hour Shifts (Monday–Friday)
Job Type : Contract / Travel - 13 weeks
Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced and reliable MRI Technologist to join our imaging team. The technologist will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures, acquiring and analyzing diagnostic data, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled in MRI technology, and able to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities :
Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients for exams, and verify clinical history.
Perform MRI scans using appropriate protocols and technical factors, ensuring image quality and safety.
Apply radiation safety principles (ALARA) and MRI safety standards to protect patients and staff.
Administer medications or contrast agents as prescribed, following institutional and federal guidelines.
Evaluate and process images for proper positioning and technical accuracy.
Assist physicians with MRI-guided interventional procedures as needed.
Educate and mentor students or new staff on imaging techniques and safety practices.
Participate in quality assurance and process improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all departmental and organizational policies.
Qualifications :
Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience required.
Current certification with one or more of the following :
ARRT (R)(MR) – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
ARMRIT – American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists
CNMT – Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (with MR certification)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Skills & Competencies :

Schedule :
Evening Shift — Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts.
Experience :
At least 2 years of MRI experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
