Job Details :

• Work 12-hour shifts on MS Float unit with 61 combined beds
• Day shift nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 5, night shift ratio of 1 : 6
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• Call or standby requirement with LCD
• Floating requirements - days shift is first to float
• Care for surgical patients including total joints, fractures, bariatric, urology, and general surgery
• Manage medical patients with conditions such as CHF, CVA, SOB, and diabetic issues
• Work with telemetry monitoring - monitor tech reads strips, RN confirms
• Use respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Work alongside nurse aids with 1 : 15 ratio
• No drip titration required
• No charge nurse or house supervisor responsibilities
• Any scrub color permitted
• EPIC charting system
• Required certification : BLS
• BSN not required
• Unit-specific orientation with travel CBO and float checklist
• Cancellation policy : 4 shifts per contract (3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks)
