Business Office Manager
Responsible for overall business office operation / training in the HCC as well as assisting in the success of billing and collection of Total AR. Familiar with medical financial concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Understand various services offered by the nursing home and methods of payments for those services including but not limited to Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance, and Private Pay
- Review HCC accounts receivable and billing issues for resolution and follow-up.
- Assist in collection of HCC accounts receivables.
- Report on various HCC accounts receivables.
- Identify areas that need improvement / training in the business offices and take steps to correct.
- Assist with Medicaid pending procedures including assistance with the Medicaid application.
- Provide training to HCC in LTC as needed
- Understand and be able to assist if needed in Human Resources and Payroll functions.
Minimum Education Required :
High School diploma required. Associate degree preferred.Minimum Experience Required :
2-4 years' experience in Healthcare Administration, Billing, and Collections or related field required.Additional Qualifications :
Experience in Medicaid, Medicare, and Private billing / collection for Healthcare Centers preferred. Attention to detail is essential.Strong understanding of Revenue Cycle Management in Long Term Care.Microsoft Office Suite, MatrixCare, Point Click Care, and other various office equipmentMust be willing to travel up to 80%Family Makes Us Stronger.
