• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.\n
• Must have at least 24 months of Post Anesthesia Care Unit experience.\n
• 3 months of experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.\n
• BSN completion preferred\n\nRequirements\n
• Candidates must have a District of Columbia license (required for submission).\n
• This role will require floating to multiple units Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.\n
• Flu vaccination required for submission. Declinations not accepted.\n
• 12 months between Staff at Program : Aya Program - MedStar Health\n\nPre-employment modules may be required for this role. Respiratory, Airway assessment, Work Settings, Inpatient, Medications, Antihypertensives, Emergency Medications, IV vasopressors, Narcotics / Opioid Analgesics, Surgery Cases, Endo / Laparoscopic, Pre / Post Op Care of the Patient, Follow up phone calls, Medication reconciliation, Obtain Operative / Procedural Consent, Pre-op Assessment, Pre-op Education, Pre / Post Endoscopy procedures, Pre / Post Operative procedures, Review History and Physical, Professional Topics and Skills, Pain assessment & management, and IV therapy / Phlebotomy, Starting and maintaining IVs.\n\nPreferred Skills / Experience : Previous Charge Experience. Ambulatory / Outpatient, Phase I PACU, and Phase II Recovery
• .\n\nSpecial Requests : RTO : \n\nInpatient : RTO during a contract will not be approved for greater than 8 days and this must be scheduled so that the traveler can still work his / her full 36 hours / week. RTO in between the ending of one contract and the beginning of another will not be approved for greater than 7 days.\n\nPeriop Units : Three (3) or more absences in a 13-week contract will result in immediate termination of the contract\n\nShift & Scheduling : M-F. Staggered start times; schedule will be as follows : 0700-1730, 0730-1800, 0800-1830, or 0800-2030. On Call / Weekend Requirement : No on call requirement, no weekends.\n\nFloating Requirements : Float Requirement : Will float per competency within GI Suite\n\n7 days maximum time off\n\n2 references from last 3 years (Manager / Supervisor reference type) - required for submission\n\nProof of identification required\n\nCertifications\n
