Description :

This position is for a Polysomnographic Sleep Tech.

The position entails conducting both adult and pediatric sleep studies for patients aged 0 to 99.

Candidates with pediatric experience are preferred, particularly for ages 0 to 18.

Typically, on most shifts, the tech will handle one adult patient and one pediatric patient.

The schedule consists of three 12-hour night shifts, either Sunday through Tuesday or Wednesday through Friday, from 6 : 30 PM to 7 : 00 AM.

Working holidays may be required as necessary.

There is no call requirement.

The position does not involve floating between service lines or sister facilities.

All requests for time off must be included at the time of submission.

Approval will depend on the unit's needs.

Daily patient ratios are 2 : 1.

The hospital is a teaching facility with a total of 865 staffed beds.

The work involves various sleep study testing procedures.

Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, phlebotomy, and social services.

Travelers should be aware that all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November.

Candidates will need to demonstrate readiness to comply with pre-start compliance in a timely manner.
