About The Position

• Experience with oncology diagnoses and hematology diagnoses.
• Proficient in administering chemotherapy and managing pain with morphine and dilaudid drips.
• Experience handling ports and central line care.
• Familiarity with patient population ranging from adults to geriatrics.

Description :

This position requires a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.

First-time travelers are accepted.

The patient population includes adults and geriatrics with oncology diagnoses from diagnosis to end of life.

Includes management of hematology diagnoses and oncologic emergencies.

There may be occasional off-service duties.

Key skills include preparing chemotherapy precautions and administering medication through various delivery systems such as PCA and CADD pumps.

The nurse to patient ratio is 1 to 6.

The unit typically has 19 beds with an average daily census of 15.

The charting system used is Epic.

Compliance with all required documents and vaccinations is necessary prior to starting.

Travelers are expected to work on major holidays, typically with restrictions on requests for time off.

All candidates must provide supervisory references.
