Job description

Emergency Medicine Physician (Locums)

A leading healthcare system is actively seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locums coverage. The Emergency Physician will deliver high-quality care to patients presenting with acute illnesses or injuries in a hospital Emergency Department.

About the Opportunity

  • Schedule : Full-time or shift-based; days, nights, and weekends possible
  • Specialty : Emergency Medicine

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform rapid assessments and stabilize critically ill or injured patients.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Perform emergency procedures (airway management, suturing, central lines, etc.).
  • Collaborate with specialists and nursing staff to ensure patient safety and continuity of care.
  • Document patient encounters accurately in EMR.

    • Qualifications

  • Education : MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Licensure : Active and unrestricted license in the state of practice.
  • Board Certification : Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
  • Preferred : Experience in high-volume ED or trauma center.
