Administrative Assistant
Administrative Assistant | Seasonal | 20-24 hours per week | Pay up to $21 Hourly | October - March
At Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida, every role connects back to one bold purpose : building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place! As an Administrative Assistant (Cookie Program Support Specialist), you will be at the heart of our mission, making sure our flagship entrepreneurship program-the Girl Scout Cookie Program-runs smoothly from start to finish. While the girls are out changing the world one cookie box at a time, you'll be behind the scenes ensuring the volunteers, families, and staff who support them have everything they need to succeed.
This Administrative Assistant position is perfect for someone who thrives on organization, values strong communication, and loves helping people solve problems with a smile. Each day will bring something different, from answering questions about orders or rewards, to preparing materials for newsletters and training sessions, to keeping data and reports organized and accessible. You'll be the person volunteers and families count on for quick, clear answers-and the one who ensures our program logistics are seamless.
The Administrative Assistant will work closely with the Associate Director of Product Sales, providing essential support during our busiest months of the year. This is a seasonal role, running from October through March, with evenings or weekends sometimes needed during peak cookie season. You'll be based out of our Administrative Headquarters in Lake Worth. Reliability is key, as the work touches everything from digital platforms to in-person events.
To succeed as our Administrative Assistant, you'll need a blend of administrative know-how, customer service skills, and technical comfort. That means being able to handle multiple deadlines while staying detail-oriented, drafting updates and reminders with a professional polish, and pulling data from systems like Salesforce and Excel to track progress. If you're the type who feels satisfaction when a spreadsheet is clean, an inbox is cleared, and a customer walks away confident, you'll feel right at home here.
Your ability to stay calm under pressure will matter, too. February, our busiest month, can feel like a whirlwind. Troop leaders may call in with login issues, parents may have questions about rewards, and everyone will want answers fast. You won't have to solve everything yourself-you'll escalate complex cases to the product sales leadership team-but as our Administrative Assistant you will be the reassuring first stop for our families and volunteers.
This job calls for someone with at least an associate's degree or equivalent experience, ideally paired with at least a year of recent, relevant administrative or customer support work. Comfort with Microsoft Office is a must, and knowledge of databases like Salesforce is a plus. Bilingual candidates, especially those fluent in Spanish or French, are strongly encouraged to apply. Above all, we're looking for an Administrative Assistant who is reliable, resourceful, and energized by the chance to contribute to something bigger than themselves.
We'll make sure you have the training and tools you need to succeed, along with a supportive team that values inclusion, collaboration, and a little fun-even when we're knee-deep in cookie boxes. This is more than just an administrative role. It's a chance to see firsthand how your skills can fuel one of the most iconic and impactful youth programs in the world.
