JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses : Active Indiana state license or valid IMLC
Board : Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology (certification within 5 years of residency)
DEA : Active DEA certification required
Certifications : ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
Experience : Minimum 2 years of gastroenterology practice
Vaccinations : Flu and COVID required (medical or religious exemptions accepted)
Other Qualifications : Provider must complete order entry and timesheet documentation within the Vemsta platform
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide inpatient gastroenterology consultative and procedural services
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy and upper GI endoscopy
Manage acute and chronic GI conditions including GI bleeds, liver disease, and pancreatitis
Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams for coordinated care
Attend mandatory on-site orientation prior to first assignment week
Complete electronic documentation and order entry within Epic EMR and Vemsta platforms
