Class A Company Driver

ABOUT THE ROLE

Ensures the safe and timely delivery of prep product to the customer at the proper temperature and to the proper job site. Returns to assigned plant in a timely manner for additional loads.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Drives truck trailer to transport various heavy equipment used by the contracting division for asphalt and construction projects in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
  • Loads and unloads equipment.
  • Makes sure equipment is securely fastened to trailer. Communicates truck / job status to dispatch.
  • Responsible for conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operations of trucks.
  • Keeps a driver's log for DOT.
  • Maintains appearance of truck, keeps proper air pressure in tires, checks fluid levels including oil, hydraulic, coolant and fuel. Performs minor repairs to truck as needed.
  • Assists with other duties as assigned by management.
  • Interacts with internal and external customers and provides excellent customer service.
  • Maintains good public relations with customers.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Licenses Required : Valid Class A CDL, (tanker endorsement preferred), DOT physical card and current, clean MVR Must have good directional knowledge and be able to navigate from point to point in a safe manner
  • Required Education : High School diploma / GED
  • Required Work Experience : Minimum of one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Prior experience working in contracting, constructions materials or transporting equipment.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Excellent driving skills.
  • Equipment Operator experience preferred
  • Additional Requirements :

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
