Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant/Scribe program.
- Licensure: Active and certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) and/or Medical Scribe certification required. Current CPR certification is mandatory.
- Experience: Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant and/or Scribe in a clinical setting.
- Technical Skills: Must be familiar with Crash Cart procedures and maintenance. Strong knowledge of medical formulae and medications is essential. Knowledge of EMR systems.
- Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Language: Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately transcribe patient encounters in real-time into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) as a Medical Scribe.
- Perform clinical Medical Assistant duties, including rooming patients, taking vital signs, and preparing patients for examinations.
- Conduct regular checks and maintenance of the Crash Cart to ensure readiness.
- Utilize knowledge of medications and medical formulae to support patient care and documentation.
- Perform CPR as a certified responder when necessary.
- Assist healthcare providers with various clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient flow.
