Job Description :

SimIS Inc seeks an Operations Research Analyst II to provide Integrated Training Systems (ITS) Systems Engineering (SE) support for maritime Training Systems being developed by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, Dam Neck Activity, Virginia Beach, VA. The successful candidate will collect and analyze data to evaluate operations and processes and to facilitate complex decision making for a major shipboard combat and / or training system. The period of performance begins in late August and includes 1 base year and 4 option years for a total of 5 contract years.

Experience Required :

At least three (3) years of full-time professional experience in operational analysis, evaluating systems and proposed solutions, experience analyzing and documenting business processes and workflows, experience using industry standard methods and models for determining solutions.

At least one (1) year of full-time and experience with Navy training systems.

Collects and analyzes data to evaluate operations and processes and to facilitate complex decision-making.

Follows established modeling and evaluation methodologies to determine the effectiveness of current operational activities, isolate problem areas and develop solutions.

Tests and validates models and results.

Prepares reports that outline and rank proposed solutions and present a range of possible alternatives.

Special Skills / Knowledge / Training Required :

Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics or related field.
