About the Role – Part Time Claims Coordinator – Remote
Prudent Pet is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced administrative professional with a passion for pet health to join our growing Customer Service and Claims team. The Part Time Claims Coordinator should have a strong background in pet health, vet tech or reception experience preferred. Pet insurance experience is a plus but not required. The ideal candidate has around 3 years of administrative experience, 1 year of veterinary technician and / or pet insurance experience, is extremely organized, and has the desire to take on additional projects as needed.

The Part Time Claims Coordinator is vital to this mission and requires a unique drive to be extremely productive and efficient to set the team up for success and expedite service for our policy holders.
This is a remote part-time role that works approximately 16 hours per week. There will be a set schedule working in block of time totaling 4 hours or more, flexibility on days of the week
Compensation : $20 / hour
Core Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Claims and Customer Service team to support day-to-day operations and broader business initiatives.Accurately upload incoming claims and supporting documentation into internal systems.Review and organize medical records, invoices, waiver forms, and other documents to ensure completeness and compliance before processing.Communicate with veterinary clinics, hospitals, and policyholders to gather any missing documentation or clarify submitted information.Support administrative tasks and special projects as assigned by leadership.Performs all other duties as assigned.Principal Working Relationships
Reports directly to AVP OperationsFrequent involvement with key home office employees including senior leadershipWorks as a significant part of a thriving Downers Grove office Customer Service Support Team and remote Claims TeamQualifications
Proficiency in administrative tools and document management systems (3 years administrative experience preferred)Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or equivalent experience is strongly preferredPrior experience with pet insurance is a plus, but not requiredTechnically savvy and able to trouble shoot technical issuesAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervisionPossess a can-do, take-charge, energetic, and positive attitude, even in challenging situations.It is critical that this person be flexible and can mold and adapt their processes as we continue to determine efficiencies.Flexibility on hours / weekends is preferredCore Competencies
