System Administrator

Overview

Akkodis is seeking a System Administrator for a Contract position with a client located onsite in St Paul Park, Minnesota

Salary Range : $38 / hr to $41 / hr on W2 . The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Technical Environment

• Systems :
• Windows shop, Windows servers, VMware (v-sphere), Dell hardware, Cisco networking side (firewalls)
• Governed by Honeywell (control systems vendor) – dictates PC requirements, configurations, and hardware purchases.
• DCS (Digital Control Systems) run the refinery – no email or internet; extremely safety / reliability focused. Primary customers are plant board operators.
• Responsibilities :
• Server administration, AD, patching, backups.
• Cybersecurity checks : backups, intrusion attempts, compliance.
• Support all infrastructure "behind the business firewalls."
• Cisco firewalls (ASA being phased out; FMC firewalls in use).
• OPM (On-Process Migration) : coordinate with Honeywell to migrate systems live without plant shutdowns.
• Routine daily checklists for compliance and security.
