Title : Mammography Tech

Location : Santa Monica, CA

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day, 5x8-Hour (08 : 00 – 16 : 30); every other Saturday 08 : 00–12 : 00

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms in a breast center environment

Utilize 2D and 3D mammography, including stereotactic biopsies and needle localizations (preferred)

Maintain QA / QC standards and document imaging procedures

Operate equipment such as PACS and Hologic (preferred)

Work with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations

Required to participate in on-call and every-other-Saturday rotation

Required Certifications & Documentation :

BLS

ARRT (R) and ARRT (M)

CRT (M)

Valid California state license (must be actual paper certificate / permit)

Documentation of :

40 hours initial mammography training

25 supervised mammography studies

200 mammograms completed in the last 24 months

15 CEUs in mammography within the past 36 months

8 hours of Digital and 8 hours of 3D mammography training

General Requirements :

Minimum 1 year of mammography experience

Weekend availability required

Must be comfortable in a high-volume environment (30+ patients / day)

Charting system : Epic

Scrub color : Navy Blue

Must work 3 of the 5 major holidays if requested

Preferred Experience / Skills : \nExperience with Hologic APBS equipment\nNeedle localization and stereotactic biopsy\nCommunity hospital setting experience\nQA / QC experience\nExperience working with PACS
