Job description

Comprehensive Eye Exams for Veterans

We invite licensed Optometrists or Ophthalmologists to join our team in conducting thorough eye exams for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's SHA process. This rewarding, non-treating role focuses solely on assessments and offers a meaningful, flexible part-time opportunity.

  • Review medical records through a secure web portal to gather comprehensive information.
  • Perform comprehensive eye exams, including Visual Field Testing (VFT), to ensure accurate assessment.
  • Submit evaluation forms via the web portal within 24 hours of the exam, providing timely and efficient service.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess :

  • Licensure as an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist.
  • Proficiency in Visual Field Testing (VFT).
  • Credentialed to meet the VA's requirements.
  • The ability to analyze medical records and exam findings to create accurate, timely reports.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Detailed-oriented with the ability to submit forms within required timelines.
