CRNA Job Details – Waterloo, Iowa

Position Type : Locum tenens CRNA (contract healthcare job)

Location : Waterloo, Iowa (Iowa healthcare jobs)

Start Date : November 17, 2025

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks

Shifts per Week : 5

Shift Duration : 10-hour days (6 : 30 AM – 4 : 30 PM)

Hours per Week : 50

On-Call & Weekends : As needed

Setting : Hospital-based Anesthesiology Unit

Operating Rooms : 13 ORs

Department Volume : 30-50 cases per day (entire department)

EMR System : EPIC

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Qualifications

Current Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification – Board Certified

Active Iowa RN license or active compact nursing license

Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a CRNA in a hospital or acute care setting

Full-time availability for the entire 13-week contract assignment

Clean malpractice history

CRNA Responsibilities

Evaluate and monitor patient care before and during surgical procedures in a hospital setting

Administer general anesthesia for OB (including TOLAC), healthy pediatric, and adult cases

Perform conscious sedation procedures as required

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team of physicians, nurses, and advanced practice providers

Deliver safe, effective anesthesia care in a fast-paced clinical environment

Participate in on-call coverage and weekend shifts as needed
