• Work in a 30-bed acute care unit providing medical-surgical and ICU level care
• Patient ratios range from 2-4 : 1 for ICU patients and 5-6 : 1 for medical-surgical patients
• Weekend rotation includes 3 Mondays and Fridays per 6-week scheduling period
• Holiday work required per staffing matrix
• Work in fast-paced, ever-changing environment caring for all acuity levels
• Utilize team-based care model with daily interdisciplinary meetings
• Perform IV starts, central line management, arterial line care, Foley catheter insertion
• Provide EKG monitoring and wound care
• Work with equipment including IV pumps, SCDs, Nova Stat glucometer, wound vac, Baxter feeding pump, lift equipment, and Pyxis system
• Use Cerner electronic medical record system
• Float to TCU as needed
• Required certifications : BLS, ACLS (must be completed prior to end of orientation)
• Dress code : Navy blue scrubs for nurses
• ICU / Stepdown experience preferred
