JOb Title : Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Location : 726 Heartland Trail, #13, Madison, WI 53717

Duration : 6+ months Contract to Hire

PAY Range : $25.12 - $29.13

SHIFT TIMINGs - MON-FRI 8AM - 5PM

Responsible for but not limited to all, Plumbing, Carpentry, Painting and Basic Electric.

Perform facility maintenance required for all scheduled and emergency work orders also be accountable for completed paper work and documentation required for each performed work order.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate ability to handle general maintenance responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ability and dexterity to utilize hand tools and power tools.
• Perform all work in accordance to company policies and regulations contained in company GMPs, Safety standards and standard operating procedures.
• Have ability to work with little or no supervision
• Be computer literate
• Must be able to climb ladders and perform the rigorous task associated with a laborer position
• Performs Equipment Rigging, Lifting, Moving.
• Change fluorescent light bulbs and Ballasts as required
• Performs and not limited to : All Building Maintenance functions - Basic electrical, roof repairs, Floor repairs, Building repairs / modifications, Spackle & Paint, Carpentry, Equipment repairs and modifications etc.
• Exhibits the ability to operate all shop equipment when training was administered.
• Understand the basics of electrical / electronic theory.
• Performs and identifies preventive maintenance tasks.
• Exhibits flexibility acquired through training to be utilized at any position as needed in the company, or elsewhere in the facility.
• Must be able to work overtime as required
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
• Must be available on off hours to respond to facility emergency situations
• Electrical / Electronic Troubleshooting - Investigates, repairs, installs, diagnoses, and performs all necessary repairs to electrical / electronic controls and systems, located within the facility
• Swiftly execute corrective action when approved by supervisor.
• Computer entries required for JD Edwards, Calibration Manager, Compliance Wire, and Documentum.
• Responsible for creating material lists for all projects assigned.
• Complete assigned work orders and give completed work order to pm coordinator or Facilities Manager.

Provides guidance and interaction with vendors to determine code compliant work scopes and quotations.

Provides level 1 IT support to facilitate installation of Hardware

Provides Network Cable CAT5 / Ethernet installations for Offices, infrastructure, and Plant equipment.

Maintain office IT hardware inventory and assist with EHS compliant disposal.

Provide Ergonomic office installations and assistance of vendor.

Requirements

Education : High school graduate or related field experience in building maintenance.

Experience : 2 - 5 years of related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience, Trade school certification.

Knowledge / Skills Requirements : Ability to establish clear priorities quickly. Ability to work effectively under pressure, handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities. Strong communication and presentation skills, able to interface with all levels of the organization. PC literate, word processing and spreadsheet software. Able to read and understand construction blueprints. Basic electrical Knowledge. Knowledge of cGMPs.
