Position Type : Seasonal Resource Team
Work Schedule : 36 / hourly weekly for 12 weeks- Nights
What We're Looking For :
- Current unrestricted RN license in the State of South Carolina
- One year of prior Women’s Surgical Services experience preferred
- BSN preferred
- Successful completion of nursing service orientation program
- Attends IV Therapy training and / or demonstrates competency in intravenous therapy within one year
- Attends Skills Fair and completes annual hospital competency requirements
- Maintains competency and / or certification specific to departmental requirements
- BCLS current at hire
- NRP certification current or obtained within orientation
- STABLE preferred
- Advanced certification in specialty and participation in professional organization(s) encouraged
What You'll Do :
Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating healthcare needs for assigned patientsDelivering care to a patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics, unless otherwise specifiedCollaborating with the healthcare team to support unit and hospital goalsAdhering to established practice standards and clinical guidelines for the assigned areaFlexibility to float to other comparable nursing units as neededUnderstands regulatory requirements and professional practice guidelinesDemonstrates competency in department-specific skills and acts as a resource / mentor for othersEngages in leadership activities and team developmentCollaborates professionally with other departments to ensure patient-centered careExhibits strong skills in communication, conflict resolution, team building, and leadershipAttends ongoing leadership training courses offered by the facilityEducates team members on practice updates, regulatory changes, and organizational standardsAssists in staff performance evaluation and competency checksDelegates patient care tasks appropriately based on staff experience and skillsExercises independent judgment and initiative within scope of practiceUses sound decision-making in high-pressure situationsMaintains professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive informationCapable of working irregular schedules, including weekends and holidays
