Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of test engineers and technicians.
- Design and implement testing procedures for functional testing of automatic transmissions.
- Oversee the design, setup, and maintenance of test equipment, fixtures, and environments.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and contribute to the development of best practices in testing.
- Ensure that all testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained. Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment issues.
- Maintain thorough documentation of testing procedures, results, and modifications made during the testing process.
- Analyze test results, identify root cause of failures, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
- Assist in training team members on testing methodologies and best practices.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics, including test coverage, defect rates, and cycle times.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to test processes, automation, and efficiency.
- Partner with on-site EHS to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations compliant with OSHA.

Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in mechanical / electrical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.7+ years of experience in product testing or test engineering, with 3+ in a leadership roleStrong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience with test automation and data analysis tools.Understand operational theory of automatic transmissions.Experience with assembly of complex hydraulic / mechanical assemblies.Strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills with the ability to multi-taskEffective communication and collaboration skills across multi-disciplinary teams.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with testing equipment specific to automotive transmissions.Experience with LabVIEW, NI TestStand, Python, or other test automation platforms.Knowledge of hydraulic systems, electronics, and software used in modern automatic transmissions.Background in automotive, aerospace, electronics, or industrial manufacturing environments.Equal Opportunity Employer
