Summary : This position is responsible for assisting in assuring that product leaving the manufacturing facility shall meet standard specifications set by Mariani Packing Company. The position requires good math skills in order to carry out the major duties and responsibilities. Effective communication in English, both written and oral, is a must. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Accountability # 1 – Quality 80% :

• Responsible for ensuring production meets specification and that Food Safety objects are met in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Follow testing procedures and analyze specific quality attributes of products including, but not limited to, moisture, particle size, defects, net weight, count, percentages, sorbate, sulphur, oil, etc. to ensure quality standards are met.
• Check container markings for clarity and correctness to ensure all packaging specifications are met and document findings.
• Statistics and paperwork associated with daily production are to be completed, legible and accurate.
• Weekend and night shifts and overtime may be required as workload demands.
• Must know and carry out procedure for holding product.
• Must work cooperatively with co-workers.
• Awareness, observation, documentation and enforcement of all Food Safety Programs (GMPs, HACCP, CCPs, Allergen, Organic and other programs).
• Must be detail oriented.
• Work closely with production staff for solutions and dispositions of held product in an efficient and timely manner.
• Computer data entry required.
