The Role
The Virtual Propulsion Engineer (VPE) will be responsible for leading program execution and capability development initiatives related to gearbox design analysis and product development for automotive applications. This role will collaborate cross-functionally to drive technical excellence innovation and delivery of high-performance gear solutions aligned with propulsion system requirements
What Youll Do
- Design and develop gear systems for propulsion products including drive units transmissions and hybrid drive systems.
- Perform gearbox analysis for durability efficiency and NVH.
- Develop and enhance CAE capabilities for gearbox components and subsystems including gears shafts park systems and other.
- Support product development from early concept through validation and production execution.
- Communicate technical findings effectively to internal and external stakeholders using appropriate media.
- Ensure timely delivery of design solutions that meet quality cost and program milestones.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams for integrated design problem-solving and system optimization.
- Lead and participate in benchmarking activities for gearbox products and virtual engineering tools.
