Shipping And Material Handler

Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing and logistics, is seeking a Shipping and Material Handler to join their team. As a Shipping and Material Handler, you will be part of the Purchasing and Shipping department supporting operations in Springfield, MO. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title : Shipping and Material Handler

Location : Springfield, MO

Shift : 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30-4 : 00 PM, Monday through Friday

What's the Job?

  • Prepare and process outbound shipments, including creating and maintaining Bills of Lading (BOLs) and all related documents
  • Coordinate with third-party logistics providers to initiate and track material movements
  • Ensure accuracy of Advance Ship Notices (ASNs) and monitor shipment loading onto carriers
  • Respond to Proof of Delivery (POD) inquiries and monitor delivery compliance through customer portals
  • Verify incoming materials and maintain records of shipment labels and inventory reports

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of data entry experience
  • 2-4 years of purchasing experience with knowledge of supply chain management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Access, and Outlook
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
