Associate Director, Biostatistical Programming

Job Summary (Primary function)

The Assoc Dir, Biostatistical Programming is responsible for managing a group of Biostatistical programmers who develop statistical programs that process clinical data required for statistical analysis of Phase I - III clinical trials, and programmers that lead project teams.

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)

• As a member of the biometrics leadership team, contribute to the short-term and long-term growth of the department.
• Assess resource needs and to ensure projects are adequately resourced.
• Responsible for hiring, mentoring, and managing a diverse programming team.
• Contribute to the long-term strategic leadership of a statistical programming unit that supports multiple drug development programs.
• Effectively operates within a matrix organization and with multi-disciplinary groups, demonstrating strong collaboration and communication skills to contribute to a positive team environment.
• Collaborate with members of the multidisciplinary team to establish and project timelines. Manage projects and resources in the bio-statistical programming group; oversee timely and quality delivery of assigned projects.
• Oversee and / or develop programs, macros, procedures and standards used to produce statistical results of clinical data.
• Ensure that all programming activities, outputs and documentation are consistent with ICH guidelines and are conducted in compliance with company SOPs and Industry guidelines.
