Job descriptionSpecialty : You will be part of the Cardiovascular Surgery team. Experience : A minimum of one year of recent experience first-assisting in cardiovascular procedures is required, along with skills in endoscopic vein harvesting. EMR : You must have Epic experience. Board Status : You must be a Board Certified NP and have an RNFA. Licensure : An active Kentucky (KY) license is required. Vaccination : Both COVID-19 and Flu vaccines are required, with medical or religious exemptions allowed. Application : Your CV MUST be in a MM / YYYY format with explanations for any gaps in employment greater than 3 months. The target start date is February 2, 2026. This is an academic / training setting. Privileging takes an estimated 90-120 days. No emergency or temporary privileges are available. This is a non-solo position, where you will be working with faculty and a team. The contract length is 3-6 months with an option to extend.
Facility in Lexington, KY seeking CV surgery locums coverage Rates : $170 / hr regular hourly, $300 / night call $1500 / 24 hr call and $250 / hr call back Key Responsibilities This is a full-time position requiring at least one week of M-F coverage per month, including call. Your duties will include :
- First-Assisting : You must be proficient in first-assisting, endoscopic vein harvesting, and CABG.
- Inpatient Care : Morning rounds typically on 5-10 ICU patients with faculty. You will not be responsible for signing in as first call for any patients.
- On-Call : You will be required to take night call from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. and weekend call.
