Department faculty and students collaborate with scholars across the university, including the College of Health and Human Services, the Belk College of Business, and the Cato College of Education. The interdisciplinary Health Psychology Program (http://healthpsych.charlotte.edu) includes faculty from the departments of Psychological Science, Public Health, Communication Studies, Nursing, Applied Physiology, Health, & Clinical Sciences, and other relevant disciplines. It comprises three concentrations: an APA-accredited Clinical Psychology program that adheres to the scientist-practitioner training model, a Community Psychology program, and a Behavioral Science program.

Psychological Science houses the Behavioral Health and Resiliency Psychology Clinic, also called the "BeHealthieR Clinic," which is a low-cost mental health outpatient clinic. It is staffed by seven TT faculty who are licensed psychologists and approximately 25 PhD students. The clinic's purpose is to: 1) provide quality psychological services at an affordable cost to increase access to mental health care, and 2) serve as a training facility for doctoral clinical students in the Health Psychology Ph.D. program (which includes our clinical psychology training program). We currently offer services (including assessment, individual, couples, and group therapy) only to members of the UNC Charlotte community. In the future, we hope to expand our services to the broader Charlotte area As the largest and most academically diverse college at UNC Charlotte, the College of Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences houses 15 departments, 18 interdisciplinary programs, and 6 applied centers. We offer a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs with extensive honors and early-entry options. The College plays a pivotal role in delivering on the university's goals in the areas of research excellence, student success and experience, and community engagement.
