Physician / New York / Permanent / Gastroenterologist Job

A healthcare system in Westchester County is actively seeking a patient-orientedGastroenterologistto join their growing staff. In this role, theGastroenterologistwill provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient gastrointestinal care.

About the Opportunity

• Schedule : Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Call : 1 : 7 one week, nights

Setting : Outpatient and Inpatient

Responsibilities

TheGastroenterologist will :

Perform physical exam

Counsel patients on gastrointestinal disorders

Order appropriate diagnostic imaging and lab testing and interpret the results of

studies

Discuss test results, diagnosis, treatment plan and prognosis with patients

Prescribe and / or administer treatment and medication

Perform endoscopic procedures, including diagnostic and screening endoscopies and colonoscopies as indicated

Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology with the American Board of Internal Medicine or equivalent

Completion of specialty training in an ACGME or equivalent Gl fellowship program

Current New York State Medical Practitioner License

Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration
