PCU RN Job Details

Location : Mayfield Heights, Ohio (44124) – Northeast Ohio nursing jobs

Setting : Progressive Care Unit (PCU); may float to CCU / CSICU as needed

Contract Type : Travel Nursing – Registered Nurse jobs

Start Date : November 14, 2025

End Date : February 13, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts / week (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM)

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,990 – $2,130

On-Site Position

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 18 months recent, permanent experience in PCU / Stepdown nursing

Active Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license

Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS & ACLS certifications

Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate during orientation (maximum 2 attempts)

One supervisory reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in PCU / Stepdown specialty

Background check and fingerprinting required

Ability to work every other holiday

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to PCU patients

Float to CCU / CSICU units as needed to support clinical care

Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Accurately document patient care and progress

Participate in orientation and required clinical assessments

Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
