Part Time Faculty Elementary and Special Education

Job Summary

The University of North Georgia's Elementary and Special Education Department is seeking applications for a part-time faculty member to teach undergraduate and/or graduate level courses.

Responsibilities

• This position will teach undergraduate and/or graduate level courses in elementary and special education.
• This position may also teach graduate level courses in general education, autism, dyslexia, computer science education, English for Speakers of Other Languages, gifted and reading.
• At the undergraduate level, successful applicants will support the goals of a program and foster pre-service elementary teachers' confidence and efficacy in teaching elementary education in early childhood and special education settings.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree and/or 18 hours of upper-level coursework in a related field for teaching at the undergraduate level is required. Doctorate degree required for teaching at the graduate level.
• Evidence of effective and innovative teaching practices.
• Experience using and modeling technology in educational settings and online teaching.
• Demonstrated ability to educate and work with a variety of populations.
• Availability to teach in person classes is a plus.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching is essential.
• Work collaboratively with full-time faculty members.
