Overview
We are on the lookout for an Employment Consultant, who is passionate about making a difference, to join our Employment Services team. This role will be supporting and engaging customers to find meaningful employment for people with disabilities and reduce barriers to employment. This is a full-time permanent position based in our East Metro locations.
Responsibilities
- Assist job seekers in preparing for and securing employment through a variety of pre-employment activities
- Work collaboratively with jobseekers and employers to support the achievement of employment goals and opportunities
- Provide personalised assistance to enhance and develop job readiness
- Effectively manage a caseload of jobseekers whilst adhering to IEA service grant agreement and compliance requirements to maintain a high-quality service
- Contribute to the growth of the service through successfully moving jobseekers through the various phases of the program
About You
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with jobseekers, employers, the team and othersDemonstrated experience in case management or relationship managementStrong time management skills and the ability to manage competing administration tasks effectively with a high attention to detailActively contribute to the overall performance and success of the servicePrevious experience in delivering employment support is desirableA relevant post-secondary or tertiary qualification (for example Marketing, Disability Services, or Human Services) is desirableRight to work in Australia with ability to obtain National Police Check, Working with Children's Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, COVID-19 VaccinationsAt Ability WA, we care about finding the right people to join us hence encourage you to apply even if you don't meet 100% of our selection requirements.
