Join our growing legal team as a Paralegal-Legal Assistant at our Ridgeland, MS office.
This is a full-time, Monday - Friday position with an attractive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities will include trial preparation, drafting motions, court filings, managing calendars, scheduling, handling discovery, and other essential duties. This role will involve assisting with depositions, preparing witnesses, conducting research, and offering assistance to the attorney during court proceedings. Managing case documents pre and post-trial will also be a key responsibility.
The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills, the ability to craft effective correspondence with opposing counsel and analyze medical records to effectively convey the case narrative. We welcome candidates with a proactive approach to case strategy and a passion for advocating for clients.
Qualifications required include a minimum of 1 year of paralegal experience in family law or personal injury law. Proficiency in MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Suite is essential, with experience in Apple computers considered a bonus.

Compensation :
$37,000 - $55,000 yearly
Responsibilities :
Manage and maintain organized files and documents efficientlyCoordinate events and assignments effectivelyCollaborate closely with court administrators and personnelAssist clients in completing and submitting legal forms accuratelyPrepare drafts of letters and simple court documents for attorney reviewCompile reports and legal documents for attorney approvalConduct comprehensive legal research on new issues, verify precedents, and analyze legislationGather and submit discovery materialsCoordinate client meetings to review discovery responsesProvide regular updates to clients and gather necessary informationMaintain accurate labeling and order of all file elementsAssist attorneys in preparing for hearings and trialsSupport attorneys during courtroom proceedingsPrepare for and attend depositions professionallyOrganize and categorize exhibits during depositionsPrepare and file court documents promptlyGenerate weekly and monthly reports diligentlyMonitor e-filing, update files, answer phones, schedule appointments, and perform other assigned tasksProvide updates to attorneys regarding cases and clientsAbility to determine, designate, and prioritize work tasksProactively work cases and anticipate the needs of attorneysQualifications :
