ACTIVITIES ASSISTANT
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our dynamic team at our skilled nursing facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in planning and implementing recreational and therapeutic activities for residents.
Support residents in participating in activities, ensuring their needs are met.
Maintain an organized schedule of activities and encourage resident involvement.
Provide transportation and assistance during off-site events and outings.
Document and report resident participation and feedback on activities.
Collaborate with nursing and therapy staff to individualize activity programs.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for all activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Direct patient care experience for 1 year is a must
Healthcare experience in long-term care, skilled nursing facility, or senior care is a must.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compassionate nature with a desire to work with the elderly population.
Basic knowledge of recreational activities suited for seniors.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
