Description
CTG is seeking a motivated Technical Writer I to join our client’s team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining clear and concise documentation that supports manufacturing processes, procedures, and standards. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly documentation.
Responsibilities
- Develop, write, edit, and format technical documentation including process manuals, system specifications, guideline documents, and procedure manuals
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to gather and interpret documentation needs
- Standardize content across platforms and media to ensure clarity and consistency
- Review, revise, and update existing documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with standards
- Translate complex technical terminology into user-friendly
- Conduct periodic reviews of documents to ensure all process updates and changes are accurately reflected
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Technical Writer in a manufacturing environmentAbility to quickly adapt and begin writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Strong technical writing, editing, and formatting skillsProficiency in MS Office Suite and documentation toolsExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teamsRequired Qualifications
Associate degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field OR current enrollment in one of these programs at an accredited college / university2 years of experience as a Technical Writer for a manufacturing companyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExperience collaborating with cross-functional teamsAdditional Information
