Patient Service Representative

This position involves coordinating and facilitating new referrals and admissions by collaborating with nurses, customer service, and distribution teams. The role requires conducting initial and ongoing assessments of patient, drug, and disease information to identify potential drug-related issues or needs. The representative will answer inquiries from patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, escalating to a clinician as necessary, and maintain thorough documentation in patient records. Responsibilities include :

• Coordinate and facilitate new referrals and admissions in collaboration with nurses, customer service, and distribution.
• Conduct and document assessments of specific patient, drug, and disease information.
• Escalate issues to a clinician when needed.
• Answer inquiries from patients, families, physicians, and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain thorough documentation of clinical activities and communications.
• Coordinate and schedule preparation of IV therapies and home medical equipment orders with Pharmacists.
• Assist Pharmacists, Nurses, Technicians, and Patient Care Coordinators in patient care activities.
• Prepare labels, prescriptions, and compounding / mixing worksheets.
• Generate delivery / pick slips under Pharmacist supervision.
• Obtain supply inventories from patients / clients and communicate to the Pharmacist.
• Participate in branch management, departmental meetings, and quality improvement activities.
• Adhere to all relevant accreditation, OSHA, FDA, state, local, and federal regulations.

Work Environment :

The work environment consists of a collaborative team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, with a ratio of 2 Patient Service Representatives to 1 Pharmacist. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 : 30 AM to 6 : 00 PM, with opportunities for additional Saturday shifts at a pay differential.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Centennial, Colorado.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
