The Career Services Coordinator actively promotes and develops career development training for students and employment opportunities for graduates. The Career Services Coordinator's efforts are essential in helping students and graduates achieve their career goals and succeed in their chosen fields.
- Providing career counseling and job search assistance.
- Organizing career fairs and networking events.
- Assisting with job placement.
- Promoting career development training.
- Collaborating with employers.
Minimum Requirements :
Completed a Bachelor's degree, preferably in counseling, human resources, business administration, or a related field.Prior related experience in the staffing industry or a related industry.Persuasive communication skills, with an orientation toward results.Ability to work extended hours (which will include evenings and weekends), in order to meet business objectives.Essential duties and responsibilities :
Works to place students in the field for which they are trained.Conducts market outreach, job and internship development.Develops and maintains employer and community contacts.Prepares student files and ensure completion of all necessary documentation.Provides career development opportunities for students on an on-going basis.Develops, implements and continuously enhances a Life Skills program as part of curriculum.Maintains accurate database of student and graduate files.Actively participates in on-campus events, programs and promotions.Assists with coordination of annual graduation ceremony.Assists with preparation of annual reports as required by regulatory agencies.Supports Career Services Director to achieve required placement statistics.Manages and updates job bank database.Proactive follow-up and tracking of all graduates.Prepares students for and conducts exit interviews and / or portfolio reviews.Benefits :
