Responsibilities Position is in a Med / Surg Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1 : 6 Day shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (7 : 00-19 : 30) Every other weekend and holiday coverage required Floating required within other med-surg tele units Utilizes Cerner for charting and documentation Patients may require telemetry, dysrhythmia management, rapid response team intervention, colostomy care, feeding tube care, pre / post hemodialysis management, renal failure management, blood product administration, phlebotomy, PICC line management, IV starts, heparin and insulin administration, isolation precautions, and wound care Scrub color is ceil blue and scrubs are not provided Up to 4 hours of pre-start orientation modules are billable, with additional hours as needed Travelers who have previously worked for this health system must have a 1-year separation before reapplying No more than 7 days of RTO allowed per 13-week contract, with no RTO during the first two weeks Candidates residing within 60 miles are considered local Requirements Active MD or compact RN license required Minimum of 2 years of med / surg telemetry nursing experience Current certifications : BLS and NIHSS Charge nurse experience required Experience with Cerner EMR required Skills in Med / Surg and cerebrovascular accident (CVA) care required Two supervisor references from the past 2 years required First-time travelers are accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622045.
