Senior Product Marketing Manager - Appliance

This position will serve as a category expert and business manager. Successful candidate will have a proven track record of understanding users and markets, gathering requirements from multiple sources and iterating to design products that deliver value across the value chain. Appliance products (microwave oven, small kitchen appliances) are more than just household itemsthey are life-changers. P&L (Profit & Loss)
- Responsible to lead category P&L update with finance in monthly process
- Responsible to make necessary negotiation with Japan headquarter & business partners to meet category target
Placement
Establish distribution policy aligned to businessStrategize and execute product placement to maximize business goalPresent the strategy to both internal and external organization membersDevelop and negotiate dealer programs across multiple channelsPricing
Take lead in negotiation with Japan for FOB updateMaintain landed cost file and update on quarterly basisMaintain marginal profit file based on distribution updatePromotion
Collaborate with sales and marketing to create complimentary promotion strategy in combination of pricing and marketing execution itemsDemonstrate knowledge of different vehicles including marketing execution itemsResponsible in promotional roadmap announcement and its information integrityProduct
Communicate with Japan and manage new product development from concept through successful launch by working closely with multiple team membersSeek out and apply knowledge of new trends and innovation to identify new products but also opportunities within existing products to improve packaging, retail / online merchandising and other communication vehiclesExpert knowledge of technical product detailAbility to demonstrate product functionsPSI
Responsible for leading and presenting PSI processImprove forecast accuracy by facilitating CPFR operation with customersManage both total and aging inventory targets for both PCEC, Panasonic factories and OEM / ODM suppliersDemonstrate knowledge of PSI tied to promotion strategyTake ownership of PSI deck preparationMonitor category performance on weekly basis to ensure sales volume and profit goals are metDemonstrate knowledge of pre-PSI processReports Management
Responsible for continuous improvement of reporting process using digital tools to automate processesAdmin Tasks
Identify management information needs, manage development of non-standard reports and statements when requestedCollaborate with Japan business unit to ensure timely delivery of high quality business supportDirect team to submit RFA (Request for Approval), and follow throughReview documented RFAs and track vs budget to ensure completion and in complianceOther

Education & Experience
Knowledge in D2C business and operationInterest and knowledge in appliance product category and industry is a plusBachelor's Degree required6-10 years of experience in consumer electronics industry preferredExperience in product management, sales and marketing team preferredStrong MS office skills, Excel and PowerPoint is requiredReceptiveness to feedback and a desire to improve, learn and growCompetencies

The wage range of $155,000 - $170,000 is just one component of Panasonic's total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
