Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Yakima, WA 98902 (Washington nursing jobs)

Facility : Emergency Department, Level III Trauma Center

Assignment Type : Travel RN

Start Date : December 15, 2025

End Date : March 14, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Hours per Week : 36 (guaranteed)

Shift : 12-hour nights (variable evening / night start times)

Weekend / Holiday : Every other weekend; 1-2 holidays per contract

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1990-$2130

Emergency Room RN Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience in a high-volume, high-acuity hospital setting

Active RN license (Washington state or compact license)

Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC

Strong emergency nursing skills, including critical care and pediatric nursing experience

Proficient in chest tube setup, arterial line management, blood administration, Bipap / ventilator use, splinting, and medication drips

Experience with barcode scanning medication administration

Ability to pass hospital triage test and perform independent triage

EPIC EMR experience preferred

Previous travel RN experience required (no first-time travelers)

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages and acuity levels

Stabilize and transfer patients, including neurosurgery, multi-system trauma, and high-acuity pediatrics

Assist with trauma and code cases, including chest tube and arterial line setup

Administer medications, manage IV drips, and perform blood administration

Conduct triage and prioritize patient care using ESI protocols

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team : ED techs, medical assistants, hospitalists, and advanced practice providers

Utilize EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors

Participate in orientation and ongoing professional development
