Job Summary : The Sanitation Supervisor oversees daily sanitation operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance. This role leads the sanitation team, implements sanitation protocols, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to maintain a safe and hygienic production environment.
Shift and Hours : This will be a swing-shift position (Monday-Friday)
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise and coordinate sanitation team activities to ensure effective and timely cleaning of equipment and facility.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including GMP, HACCP, SSOPs, and allergen control.
- Train, coach, and evaluate sanitation staff to ensure consistent performance and adherence to procedures.
- Inspect sanitation processes and conduct regular audits to verify cleaning effectiveness and documentation accuracy.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to minimize downtime and support operational goals.
- Monitor inventory and usage of sanitation supplies and chemicals, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Enforce safety practices and promote a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
Qualifications :
Minimum 3 years of experience in sanitation within food manufacturing, including 1+ year in a supervisory or lead role.In-depth knowledge of sanitation practices, food safety regulations, and chemical safety.Strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and documentation abilities.Able to work effectively in a high-demand, deadline-driven environment.Physical Requirements :
Ability to stand / walk for extended periods on the production floor.Must occasionally lift to 50 lbs. and work in varying temperatures and noise levels.Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.Work Environment :
