Principal BI Engineer

A company is looking for a Principal BI Engineer (remote).

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with business users and technology teams to understand data needs and create innovative solutions

Optimize BI dashboard quality, consistency, usability, and reliability

Design semantic data layer for analytics and AI while working with various engineering teams to automate data analysis and visualization

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience with Tableau, including best practices and performance tuning

Strong experience with SQL and Python

Experience in building the semantic layer using tools such as Cube.dev, AtScale, dbt, and Dremio

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is highly preferable

Ability to provide mentoring to a team of data analysts
