Job Title : Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse Profession : Registered Nurse Specialty : Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : Minimum of 1.5 years required License : Nursing License required Certifications : BLS, PALS required Must-Have : Experience with CRRT and ECMO procedures, vents, and working knowledge of inotropic drips Description : Start date is January 12, 2026. Shifts are either 3x12 or 4x12. COVID vaccination required; exemptions accepted with completion of required forms. No local candidates within a 75-mile radius will be considered. Ratios in the unit are 1 : 2. Shifts are rotating within a four-week schedule. Weekends require four weekend shifts for day shifts and 4-5 for night shifts, with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights considered as weekends. First-time travelers are accepted. Clinicians will float to the NICU as required. Pediatric travelers may be asked to assist in the Pediatric Emergency Department but will not take care of ED patients. Unit experience should include respiratory distress / failure, renal failure, trauma, CRRT, ECMO, hemato-oncology, multi-system organ failure, and suicide attempts. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. Candidate must have experience in a Level I Trauma facility with strong trauma skills. Recent PICU experience within the last two years is required. Candidates with slightly less than 1.5 years may be considered with strong skills. Personal transportation is required for all roles. Compliance documents must be completed promptly by the candidate before starting.
