Pay : $22.14 - $28.78 / hour, based on relevant experience.

Summary :

As a Certified Sterile Processing Technician I, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, and inspection of instruments and equipment. This entry-level position offers the opportunity for growth and further development in sterile processing functions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Decontaminate and clean instruments and equipment, following established instructions while ensuring proper disassembly and appropriate cleaning methods.
• Inspect and package instruments or equipment for sterilization, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
• Conduct sterilization procedures based on specific instructions while verifying all external indicators, filters, and labels.
• Perform routine cleaning and sterilizer testing, including biological monitoring, leak testing, and Bowie-Dick tests.
• Document work performed using instrument tracking software or paper documentation as required.
• Exhibit critical thinking skills and perform tasks with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements :

Certified Registered Central Services Technician or Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician.

High School diploma or GED.

Current certification as a CSPDT (Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) from CBSPD or CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) from HSPA.

No prior experience is required; however, 3 months of certified experience is preferred.

Additional Information :

If applicable, a BLS certification with the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer is required before the start date. The BLS or CPR card must be valid for at least sixty days upon hiring.
